The Military Engineering Services (MES) has officially launched its 2026 hiring cycle. This is a prime opportunity for technical and administrative professionals to join the Engineer-in-Chief’s Branch at GHQ. Unlike standard civilian jobs, MES offers a disciplined, military-adjacent career path where you’ll manage infrastructure for the Pakistan Armed Forces. 📋 Role Hierarchy & Pay Scales

The 2026 intake is focused on several key cadres. While you are a civilian, you serve under the military umbrella with a structured BPS scale:

🔹 Sub-Engineer (Civil / E&M): (BPS-11)
🔹 Upper Division Clerk (UDC): (BPS-11)
🔹 Lower Division Clerk (LDC): (BPS-09)
🔹 Draughtsman / CAD Designer: (BPS-11)
🔹 Civil Driver: (BPS-04) – Requires a solid LTV/HTV background.

📍 Testing & Postings

🗺️ Testing Centers: Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Pano Aqil, Karachi, and Quetta.
🌍 Liability: Once selected, you are liable to serve anywhere in Pakistan or even on overseas projects.

🎓 Eligibility Benchmarks

MES is very specific about technical qualifications. Ensure you meet these before applying:

🛠️ Technical Posts: Sub-Engineers must have a 3-year DAE. CAD Designers need a verified diploma in Architecture/Drafting.
📚 Clerical Posts: FA/FSc for UDC; Matric for LDC. LDCs must pass a 30 WPM typing test.
📏 Physical Check: Field roles generally require a minimum height of 5′ 7″ and a chest of 32″.

⏳ Age Bracket & Relaxations

The standard limit is 18 to 30 years, with a 5-year general relaxation pushing the upper limit to 35 years for most candidates.

*Special relaxations apply for orphans of deceased employees and retired military personnel.

1️⃣ Register: Create your profile online. You can apply for up to two posts in the same group with a single fee.

2️⃣ Payment (1-Bill System): Generate a 20-digit invoice and pay via EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or ATM.

• BPS-1 to 5: Approx. Rs. 850

• BPS-7 to 15: Approx. Rs. 1,200

3️⃣ Written Screening: MCQ-based test. 50% weightage is given to your specific subject (Engineering/Computer), with 50% for English, GK, and Pak Studies.

4️⃣ Skill & Interview: Qualifiers move to typing/practical tests followed by a final interview at regional centers.
