Soneri Bank is hiring for two nationwide branch-banking positions: Relationship Manager and Counter Service Officer. Both Soneri Bank Careers opportunities sit within Commercial & Retail Banking, but the work is different. Relationship Manager is focused on business growth, liability products and customer relationships, while Counter Service Officer handles teller services and branch transactions.
These positions can suit candidates who want to work in customer-facing banking. Applicants with sales and portfolio experience can focus on Relationship Manager, while people with teller, cash, clearing or branch-operations experience can look more closely at Counter Service Officer. The jobs are listed for Pakistan, so candidates can apply according to the bank’s recruitment requirements.
📌 Available Job Positions
Closing Date for Both Positions: 31 December 2026
Relationship Manager (RM)
- Department: Commercial & Retail Banking
- Location: Pakistan
- Work Area: Liability sales, portfolio management and customer relationships
Counter Service Officer (CSO)
- Department: Commercial & Retail Banking
- Location: Pakistan
- Work Area: Teller services, clearing, banker cheques and branch transactions
Relationship Manager Responsibilities
The Relationship Manager supports branch business by selling liability products and developing customer relationships. The role includes bringing new business, retaining existing customers and keeping the assigned portfolio healthy. A candidate should be comfortable working with sales targets and regularly speaking with customers.
Portfolio management is an important part of the job. The Relationship Manager needs to monitor customer attrition and work on retaining profitable relationships. This means the role is not only about opening new accounts. It also involves keeping existing customers engaged and supporting continued business with the bank.
Local sales promotion and outdoor marketing calls are also part of the position. Applicants should be comfortable meeting potential customers and explaining banking products. Previous work in liability sales, deposit mobilisation, relationship banking or branch sales can be relevant if it forms part of the candidate’s real experience.
Banking Knowledge for Relationship Manager
The RM should understand banking products and the local market. The job also requires following regulatory and legal requirements set by the State Bank of Pakistan and Soneri Bank. Customer information must be kept confidential, so professional handling of records and account information is important.
When preparing the CV, relationship-banking candidates should show customer acquisition, portfolio management, deposits, liability products or branch sales experience clearly. Avoid filling the first page with general office tasks that do not connect with the role.
Counter Service Officer Responsibilities
The Counter Service Officer works directly with branch transactions. The position includes teller services at the counter and handling different clearing and collection activities. These can include inward and outward clearing, same-day clearing, intercity transactions, local bills and foreign bills.
The CSO also handles issuance of banker cheques and FDD/FTT when requested by customers, while completing the required formalities. Accuracy is important because the person works with customer instructions, financial transactions and branch records.
KYC, AML and Branch Controls
Before processing transactions, the Counter Service Officer has to follow KYC and AML requirements where applicable. The role also requires compliance with instructions from the State Bank of Pakistan and the bank’s head office.
Candidates with teller or branch operations experience should make transaction handling, cash work, clearing and compliance knowledge easy to find on the CV. If the applicant has worked with banker cheques or other branch instruments, those duties can be included where they are part of real experience.
Which Soneri Bank Role Fits You?
The two jobs are both customer-facing, but they need different strengths. Relationship Manager is more suitable for a person who enjoys business development, customer meetings and sales targets. Counter Service Officer is more suitable for someone who is careful with transactions, branch procedures and daily counter work.
A candidate with strong teller experience should not make the application look like a sales CV. In the same way, an experienced relationship banker should show portfolio and business-growth work rather than focusing only on routine branch transactions.
Preparing Your CV
Keep your CV simple and relevant. Add your latest banking position first, followed by earlier jobs. Use short points for responsibilities and write employment dates correctly. If you are applying for RM, show customer and business responsibilities. If you are applying for CSO, show teller, clearing, transaction or branch-operation experience.
Use an active email address and mobile number. The job title should be clear when sending the application so the recruitment team can identify whether you want Relationship Manager or Counter Service Officer.
