π CM Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Program 2026
Hiring across Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, and Sialkot
The CM Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Program 2026 is a prestigious flagship initiative launched by the Environment Protection & Climate Change Department (EPCCD). Designed to build a Climate Resilient Punjab, this program aims to transform young, energetic graduates into Climate Warriors. Unlike traditional office-based internships, this is a hands-on, paid program that combines digital learning through a specialized Learning Management System (LMS) with real-world field deployment. Participants are tasked with leading grassroots environmental movements, such as the Punjab Green School certification, making it a unique opportunity for those who want to solve environmental issues while gaining professional experience with the Government of Punjab.
π Job Description
This internship is a multidisciplinary program focused on environmental governance and practical climate action. Interns are expected to act as district-level ambassadors for the environment. Their core responsibilities include completing UNFCCC-aligned digital training modules, conducting field-level environmental data analysis, and managing awareness campaigns within their local communities. A major highlight of the program is the Capstone Project, where each intern must implement a verified intervention to solve a specific environmental problem in their district. This program is designed to bridge the gap between university theory and professional policy implementation, ensuring that graduates are work-ready and climate-literate.
π Positions Available
The program is structured to accommodate a diverse group of graduates across different fields. The 1,250 total slots (spread across 5 batches) are allocated as follows:
- Environmental Sciences & Engineering (60% of seats): For graduates of Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, and related technical fields.
- Business, IT & GIS (20% of seats): For graduates in BBA, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, and Geographic Information Systems.
- Social Sciences & Humanities (20% of seats): For graduates in Public Policy, Economics, Media Studies, Law, and Sociology.
